Director, Information Systems and Security
Like the different countries of the world, technology has many languages and unique qualities. Computers utilize diverse methods for communication, software applications are written in a variety of programming formats, and hardware installations must be compatible with existing systems. Eric Vanderburg understands the intricacies inherent in today’s technology and specializes in harnessing its potential and securing its weaknesses. He holds over twenty-five IT and infosec certifications and has dedicated much of his career to designing and implementing systems to enhance security, increase productivity, improve communications and provide information assurance. Prior to joining JURINNOV, Eric worked as a Security Architect, Network Administrator, Consultant, Teacher, and Engineer.
Eric Vanderburg is the Director of Information Systems and Security at JURINNOV, Ltd. (“JURINNOV”). JURINNOV is a technology company that provides cybersecurity and eDiscovery services. Cybersecurity consulting includes investigating accidental or malicious data breaches as well as providing security strategies and assessments to prevent such occurrences. eDiscovery consulting includes computer forensic investigations, electronically stored information collection and processing, and ASP hosting. JURINNOV’s client base includes United States and international law firms and companies.
Eric Vanderburg is a graduate from Kent State University with a Bachelor of Science in Technology and a Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in Information Systems. During and after his education he worked as a consultant specializing in the development and maintenance of information management and network security systems for businesses, law firms, and government agencies. Most recently, he was a professor of computer networking at Remington College where he taught courses on information security, database systems, and computer networking. He has been invited to speak at many organizations and campuses on technology and information security. In order to build further competencies in information security, Eric is currently pursuing a doctorate in Information Assurance.
Vanderburg joined JURINNOV in 2006 to manage information systems and security for JURINNOV and its clients. He holds over 25 vendor certifications including: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Holistic Information Security Practitioner (HISP), Certified Wireless Security Professional (CWSP), Hitachi Data Systems Certified Professional (HDSCP), and many certifications from Microsoft and Cisco.
